Feeling Whoozy?

Have you ever wanted to get a greater understanding of your online identity, but were overwhelmed with the process to search through all the social media sites and links with your name?

Have you ever wanted to research a prospect or customer before you met with them and had the same frustration?

Today, I got WHOOZY [without a margarita] and just had to share this with you!

WHOOZY, is a search engine productivity tool that is focused on people and organizations. It brings together personal internet references as well as information from social networking sites, search engines, photo/video/audio sites, and puts them in to one simple-to-use interface.

Searching on someone’s name [i.e. “David Pezzino”] will bring you to an interface that has four tabs: Social Networks, Search Engines, Photo/Video/Audio, and Personal.

The Social Networks tab will present you with a list of social media sites and highlight the sites where your name appears. You can expand the list to see the detailed information for each site and the specific data associated with it. For example, my Twitter account was identified along with my posts.

The Search Engines tab will function the same as the Social Networks tab. It is a great way to compare the various search engines and how their algorithms respond to your searches. You can even set up alerts that can be automatically sent to your inbox.

The Photo/Video/Audio site grabs content from internet images, Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, Last.fm …

The Personal tab lists related persons, facts, tags, email addresses and even .pdf documents that contain information related to your search.

Whoozy is definitely not perfect, but it is a step closer to increasing your productivity. It will quickly provide you with greater clarity to your personal internet DNA and the internet DNA associated with those individuals and organizations with whom you engage. How you use the data is up to you. Remember that there is only one letter that separates the word TALK from the word STALK. [wink]

How powerful would this tool be to create greater connections with your customers, clients and prospects?

Feeling WHOOZY yet? Maybe it’s time? [click on the word WHOOZY in this post and check them out.]

Hi David! Thanks for sharing this tool — I had never heard of Whoozy. I just gave it a go, and it’s cool to see all of your results in one place. I can see that I will use it to research others people I’m getting to know for business, but I can think of one other great benefit: I have a bunch of “old” stuff out there — articles I wrote years ago under my old company name, etc., and I can use this service to find those quickly and make a request to those websites to update my info. Yay!
